About Ōma
Ōma was born to bridge the profound wisdom of the East with the modern rhythms of the West. As a whole, it’s more than just a practice; it is a sanctuary for those seeking to integrate ancient ritual into everyday life.
We aim to provide a structured yet intuitive platform toward balance and peace. Our mission is to facilitate experiences that regulate the nervous system and foster deep, sustainable well-being.
OUR APPROACH
Ōma’s goal is to always hold a safe and gentle space for you to move through your own experience. Our approach intuitively combines all of the deeply rooted ancient Vedic techniques and knowledge we’ve acquired to cater towards your individual needs – both physically & energetically. Whether in a group class, workshop, or private session, you'll always be embraced exactly where you're at.
Meet Anna
Founder & Facilitator
Anna is a yoga teacher who leads classes, workshops, retreats, and trainings - local, virtual, and international. Her teachings blend the ancient practices of Vedic traditions with a creative, modern approach that emphasizes both structural alignment and energetic ease.
She is a 500hr RYT (YACEP and E-RYT 200) and trained in Varkala, South India under numerous well-respected teachers - studying Ashtanga yoga, Hatha yoga, Himalayan traditions, Ayurveda, pranayama, meditation, and kriya yoga.
She has also has spent extended time in Rishikesh, North India studying additional techniques in Tibetan sound healing, Ayurvedic modalities (marma massage & reflexology), and reiki attunement - allowing her to adapt her practice to the unique physical and nervous system needs of each individual.
Her teaching style is typically both grounding and expansive. Through the use of clear alignment cues, consistent breath awareness, props, and adjustments, she helps her students cultivate a practice that feels all-encompassing and refreshing.
OFF THE MAT
When she’s not on her mat, you can find her immersed in nature, backpacking through a new country, scuba diving, dancing at music festivals, and creating stick & poke tattoos.
She also enjoys road-tripping, camping, surfing, lounging at the beach, paddle-boarding, and chasing sunsets. She loves hanging out with her wife & family, or curled up with a good book and chai.
Meet Madi
Facilitator
Madi is a dedicated yoga teacher who brings a grounding, compassionate presence to Ōma. Having completed her 200-hour YTT in Varkala, India, her practice is rooted in the authentic traditions of the East, blended with a passion for helping others explore honest self-expression.
As a key facilitator for Ōma, Madi plays an essential role in the coordination and holding of sacred space. Whether she is assisting during group experiences or capturing the quiet, heartfelt moments that define our gatherings, her intention remains the same: to create a container where every individual feels seen, supported, and free to be fully themselves.
Her teaching style is structured yet balanced and fluid. In every session, she ensures that the logistical and energetic flow is seamless.
OFF THE MAT
When she’s not on her mat, you can find her behind the lens of the camera, traveling and exploring new cities, dancing at live music shows, and hiking through nature.
She also enjoys crafting, reading, baking, spending time with her wife, connecting with family, and drinking a good ol’ black americano.
